| | cast fake - If you look at the obverse at 5:30, it looks like the
beaded border was stretched and pulled away. It wasn't engraved like that nor
is this a sign of a double strike. Maybe the polymer mold was pulled away from
the host prior to being fully set or they forger intentionally introduced an
error in the shape to make matching the cast copies to the host a little more
difficult. Also look at the big bubble on the neck at the base of the beard
and the little pearls, in and around the legend, especially the one on the
middle "S" of AVGVSTS. Actually little casting pearls are all over, look at the
corner of the eye, under the lower lip, etc. Forgery Type: cast |
